With a few days into a global pandemic, many people in the country started reporting job losses, financial losses amidst other crises. There also was speculation rife about many people missing out on filing tax returns and making other due payments.

To give a sense of relief, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin announced an extension in the deadline to file tax returns and make other payments to July 15, 2020. Some states have made decisions in accordance to Mnuchin’s recommendation, but not all states have extended their deadlines.

Some states have decided to give relaxations for the payment of estimated dues on income tax, but some states have made no such extensions. Some states are also levying an additional interest charge on payments made within the extended window.

We’ve tabulated all you need to know about the deadlines set as per your state of residence:
